In 2026, an estimated one in four working adults will be responsible for caring for an aging parent. This growing responsibility doesn’t just affect individual employees—it quietly shapes workplace culture. Caregiving stress often builds beneath the surface, and the earliest signs rarely show up as direct requests for help. Instead, they emerge later as burnout, disengagement, decreased productivity, or sudden attendance challenges.
By the time these symptoms appear, both the employee and the organization are already feeling the strain.
In this Culture First session, we will explore how organizations can recognize the subtle indicators of caregiver stress before they escalate, and how to create systems that support employees proactively. We’ll discuss practical strategies for Human Resources professionals and culture leaders to champion a more compassionate, flexible, and responsive workplace—one where caregivers feel seen, supported, and able to thrive.
The session will be facilitated by Rhonda Okurowski, Director of Talent Acquisition, People, and Culture at Bighorn Law, LLC.
