About this event

Join the Trauma Chapter in another year long book club! We're back and revamped, making the book club even better than last year!

Join us for a unique, community-centered reading journey through our next book, which is to be decided upon.

We'd love to hear from you, so please take this short survey to vote on which book you'd like to read. To give you sneak peak here's what's on the list:

  • My Grandmother's Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies

  • Set Boundaries, Find Peace: A Guide to Reclaiming Yourself

  • Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle

  • The Myth of Normal

  • Rest Is Resistance: A Manifesto

  • Why We Get Sick: The Hidden Epidemic at the Root of Most Chronic Disease--and How to Fight It

  • Whole Brain Living: The Anatomy of Choice and the Four Characters That Drive Our Life

  • No Bad Parts

  • Other: feel free to add your own suggestion!

This year, we'll be meeting quarterly (Feb 8th, May 3rd, Aug 2nd, Nov1st) and will take it one section at a time (to be determined). You will need to register for each event separately. Each meeting, we will co-read together and discuss the topic at hand. The best news of all? There's no need to read ahead! At our first session, we’ll dive right in and read together. At the following meeting, we’ll reflect on the previous chapters and begin reading the next section as a group.

This relay reading approach creates a shared experience of discovery, fostering connection, reflection, and growth. Whether you’re new to the chapter or joined us last year, you’ll find a supportive space to engage with this material and build community.

Let’s explore this powerful text together - one chapter, one call, one insight at a time.
