This isn't your average book club nor is it just another book review. Our goal is to mimic an in-person book club like you'd have in your friend's living room with appetizers and beverages. We want you to truly connect with like-minded individuals, have the chance to really dive into the concepts of the book and then talk about how to apply these concepts to your lives. On top of that, you get to meet the author!!
For this book club experience, we'll be discussing Fuckless - A Guide to Wild, Unencumbered Freedom written by Gianna Biscontini. Gianna is a keynote speaker, lifestyle design and leadership coach, and writer. She is also a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who challenges women to overcome narratives and fight for their rights to live interesting and authentic lives outside boxes created by society.
In this book, Gianna guides women through the process of liberating themselves from the ten archaic, stifling expectations "fucks" society has placed on them for over a century, so they can finally live life on their own terms. Through humor, storytelling, and a healthy dash of behavioral science, you’ll learn step by step how to leave it all behind, dropping the beliefs that no longer fit, and creating a new narrative about what it means to be female—and what, exactly, life looks like from here.
This book club is for all genders. The book is full of of thoughtful questions, gut-check exercises, and interview content from both men and women. Fuckless stands out as a book with a mission—to give women the applicable tools they need to change the way they show up in the world, and to pour gasoline on the fire of the women's movement.
Get ready to break things, discuss how these societal expectations hold us back in life and in work, and unapologetically celebrate a more authentic way of life.
This book club will be two hours total. The first 90 minutes will be an interactive zoom session with engaging exercises followed by a 30 minute Q&A session with the author. The session will not be recorded, but there will be a recap that goes out to all that registered.
Even though you don't have to read the book beforehand to participate, you may want to purchase a copy from one of the links below.

“A Fuckless female is gloriously unaffected; her self-worth and identity no longer depend on those around her. She is a free, wild being not only capable of running her own life, but owning it so hard that she one day realizes she’s changed her entire world.”

Supporting the onboarding of new chapters and nourishing existing chapters in the #CultureFirst chapters program, the largest community of people geeks dedicated to improving the world of work.
My Mission: To help the world work better by improving the places we work.
I am obsessed with how humans work, both individually and together in groups.
Given the percentage of our lives that is spent at work, I believe that the more connected to and inspired by our work and workplace we can be, the better we are as humans, and thus the more successful our organizations will be.
I work every day to improve the state of our workplaces by supporting organizations to leverage data in making more human focused decisions, that results in more engaged people and more successful organizations.
I am also highly focused on creating change one person at a time through building Culture Amp's Culture First community. Our goal is to build the worlds largest community of people, both online and offline, who believe that a better world of work is possible and are willing to take action to make this a reality.
