This isn't your average book club nor is it just another book review. Our goal is to mimic an in-person book club like you'd have in your friend's living room with appetizers and beverages. Except this time with lots of energy and playfulness!  We want you to truly connect with like-minded individuals, have the chance to really dive into the concepts of the book and then talk about how to apply these concepts to your lives. On top of that, the author will be facilitating this session! 

For this book club experience, we'll be discussing Playful Rebellion - Maximize workplace success through the power of play written by Gary Ware. Gary is the Founder of Breakthrough Play is a sought-after Corporate Facilitator and Keynote Speaker with nearly a decade of experience as performer in improv theatre. He assists teams with unlocking creativity, confidence, and sparks collaboration with experiential methods proven to drive peak performance. Fun Fact! Gary is also the Culture First San Diego Chapter co-lead! He's one of Culture First's own!! 

In this book, Gary helps readers discover how to find joy in the mundane, shows us how social norms and corporate mentality is hurting the workforce, demonstrates how to step away from work and still be productive, and teaches us how to unlock the superpowers hidden within ourselves.

This book club will be two hours total. The first 90 minutes will be an interactive zoom session with engaging activities facilitated by Gary followed by a 30 minute Q&A session. The session will not be recorded, but there will be a recap that goes out to all that registered.
