Could that meeting have been an email? Come see how improv actors and master facilitators can help your team gather with purpose, clarity, and deeper connection. In this fun and meaningful workshop, we'll address remote teams as well as those looking to rebuild in-person connections through improv games, innovative facilitation strategies, and thoughtful discussions with your People peers.
Join us for the first meeting of the newly formed Detroit Culture First Chapter! We've invited two fantastic humans to facilitate an engaging workshop and put a little spring in our team engagement step. Get to know fellow organizational culture enthusiasts and HR leaders while picking up a few new skills to energize your connections where ever you go.
Workshop Overview
Anyone can schedule a meeting. We want to help you create and facilitate incredible gatherings. By breaking down the elements that allow for meaningful experiences, we give you the tools to strengthen your team and company culture whether remote, hybrid, or in-person. Using improvisational modalities, zoom functions, and facilitation best practices, we help make every moment count. You will walk away from these workshops asking the right questions, to make your gatherings better than ever.
While we facilitate this workshop, we will bring you behind the curtain and leave you with inspiration to bring back to your teams and clients. Combining games, best practices, and thoughtful discussion, we hope there is a great opportunity for members and guests to learn from your peers here at Culture First. Plus, did we mention there will be games!?

Facilitator Bios
David Klasko is an actor and improviser based in New York City, and the founder of Artly Working. He received an MFA in Acting from Columbia University and trained in improv comedy for several years at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. While performing across the country, from New York's Shakespeare in the Park to the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, David fostered a passion for teaching and facilitating. He's taught improv comedy to serious actors, and serious acting to improv comedians; Shakespeare in New York City schools, and stand-up comedy to executives. In 2019, he founded Artly Working to bring all these experiences together with a mission to use acting and improvisation training to help people be better at what they do.
Andrew Davies is an improviser and facilitator based in Philadelphia, PA and client favorite at Artly Working. Andrew received a B.A. in English Literature from Brandeis University, went on to study Improvisation at The Magnet Theater, and received a certificate of Facilitation from Georgetown University. Andrew is also the co-founder of two non-profits: The Bible Players – a comedy team that has toured over 25 states, visiting hundreds of camps, schools, and synagogues teaching Jewish Values with a sense of humor, and CharacTours – interactive theatrical walking experience where the past visits you.
