About this event

What makes a workplace "maginhawa" and "di maginhawa"?
How satisfied are you with the current level of ginhawa in your workplace?

How might we intentionally design and cultivate ginhawa in our workplaces?

Join us for Redesigning The Workplace with Ginhawa on October 11, 4:00-5:30PM at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater at Circuit Makati.

In this interactive panel discussion, we aim to surface what ginhawa at work really means for people, and how organizations and change agents can create systems and spaces that intentionally create workplaces where people and ideas truly thrive.

Featured panelists or reactors include:

  • Jackie Cañiza, founder and chief instigator of Haraya Coaching, a company specializing in individual and organizational transformation programs; managing director of MindYou, an award-winning health tech app that works to make mental well-being accessible to all

  • Carmen Jimenez-Ong, founder and CEO at Menarco Development Corporation, which developed the Menarco Towers, the first WELL-certified building in Southeast Asia; creator of Menarco Vertical Museum

  • Liz Cabrera, managing director at Dapat Studio, studio that uses visual, strategic design for social transformation through participative design

The conversation will be moderated by Jen Horn, lead of the Culture First Manila and Creative Wellbeing chapters, facilitator, researcher and co-creator of Ugnayan Cards.

This panel discussion is co-hosted by Culture First Manila as one of several events happening at the opening of Design Week Philippines, organized by DTI-Design Center of the Philippines.

Design Week Philippines celebrates its 14th edition by remembering ginhawa, Filipino for well-being and care. Beyond comfort, it calls us to nurture the inner self and embed it into design, fostering holistic well-being for individuals, communities, and the environment.
