Learn the case for emotions at work, uncover the barriers and challenges of showing them in the workplace, and gain tools for emotional regulation and mindful expression. The workshop aims to equip participants with greater language and cognition to talk about their feelings, and more options for values-aligned actions at work, even (or especially) in situations with heightened emotions.

About this event

Coming from our previous workshop on Resilience in the Workplace, it was clear that being able to mindfully express one's emotions can help improve our resilience and wellbeing at work. And so, Culture First Manila, Singapore and Baguio are collaborating to bring you this virtual workshop on Emotions at Work.

About this workshop

In this session, we aim to bring a community of People Geeks together to:

  • Understand why being open about emotions at work matters
  • Uncover the barriers and challenges of showing them at work
  • Gain tools for emotional regulation and mindful expression

Participants can expect an interactive workshop that gives them the space to process some of the emotions that may not otherwise be able to express at work, contextualizing this conversation in Asian workplace culture, which may be more collectivist and hierarchical, and less open and transparent.

By the end of the workshop, we hope participants walk away with greater language and cognition to talk about their feelings, and more options for values-aligned actions at work, even (or especially) in situations with heightened emotions.
