In this workshop, learn the individual resilience and healing strategies to become a more authentic and successful person. Gain empathy and understanding for employee or stakeholder populations working through physical disability.
Continuing the theme of how we show up in the workplace, Emily will present the individual resilience and healing strategies she learned in the past few years that have helped her become a more authentic and successful person.
After experiencing a childhood brain injury at age eight, Emily was partially paralyzed on the left side of her body. In recovering from her injury, she rebuilt her body, re-learning to walk with two legs of different lengths and fully function with one arm and hand. As a teenager and young adult, Emily moved through the world, largely ignoring her body and physical disability. In 2019 Emily started a healing journey to improve her physical, spiritual, and emotional bodies.
Expect to walk away from this interactive workshop with concrete individual physical, emotional, and mental resilience strategies that work and can be applied immediately, as well as empathy and understanding for employee or stakeholder populations working through physical disability.
