Rituals are more than just traditions; they're actions with special meanings that have been part of human life for centuries, helping people feel they belong and understand their roles within a community. This session connects anthropological understandings of rituals to today’s workplaces, helping us deconstruct the types of rituals already in place and consciously create new ones.
Rituals are more than just traditions; they're actions with special meanings that have been part of human life for centuries, helping people feel they belong and understand their roles within a community. This session connects anthropological understandings of rituals to today’s workplaces, helping us deconstruct the types of rituals already in place (whether or not we know it), and showing how consciously creating new rituals for individuals, teams and the entire company can bring colleagues closer together, improve company culture, and support employees, whether they're in the office or working remotely.
Hosted by Dr. Aliaa Remtilla, this session will explore:
• Anthropological Insights for HR Practices: Explore the role of rituals in human societies and their power to transform workplace culture.
• Enhancing DEI Through Ritual Analysis and Innovation: Dive into existing workplace rituals to pinpoint areas for improvement, and learn how to design or adapt rituals that not only celebrate diversity but also promote inclusivity
• Innovative Engagement Strategies for Modern Workplaces: Gain insights into designing meaningful rituals that strengthen team bonds, even in remote or hybrid environments.
