About this event

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion: How to Create Positive Change by Leveraging the Power of Your People – Part 2

The social and business imperatives of EDI in the workplace have never been more important than they are today. A global pandemic has brought workplaces into homes and the lines between personal and professional life have blurred permanently. Anti-Asian sentiment because of Covid-19 and the systemic racism that has been highlighted in recent weeks have reminded us that barriers to full participation in society still exist. Clients, customers, and employees are all watching organizations to see how they respond.

But how to start and where to start? Engaging employees in dialogue about these issues that matter to them and then leveraging the power of “employee voice” are important steps on your organization’s inclusion journey now and beyond.

Our speaker, Kristin Bower, is a widely recognized expert in this subject of EDI and recently brought her knowledge to our community in part one of this workshop series. This second of two interactive sessions will create a framework to support a more inclusive, empathetic, and equitable workplace and will include the following:

  • How to be authentic and consistent in your approach to EDI
  • The value of “employee voice”
  • Discussion about how organizations are already effectively engaging with employees about issues that matter to them
  • How to start a successful employee resource group

Attendees will leave with practical skills and tools that they can use right away to create positive change and sustain it.

We can't wait to have you join us! Be there for our first monthly culture conversation, and join our community of #peoplegeeks and #culturechampions!

P.S. - Don't forget to bring a friend!
