One of the most frequent culture concerns cited by leaders is lack of cross-department collaboration. These silos cause delays and miscommunication, and can become a major source of tension within a company. This engaging session will share how fun, playful activities can break down even the most well-established of silos.
One of the most common challenges across organizations is the dreaded silo effect, where collaboration across teams and departments seems all but impossible. Lack of time and insufficient processes are often cited as the source, but sometimes all it takes to unlock possibilities is a fun, well-designed shared experience!
In this highly interactive session, Alex Suchman from Barometer XP (and CultureFirst DC Chapter Member!) will explore how to leverage playful team activities to spark new relationships and catalyze ideas for greater interdependence between colleagues who hardly interact with each other. We’ll play a few activities and reflect on how they might be used to foster curiosity, empathy, creativity, and problem solving in different situations.
You’ll leave with simple tools you can bring back to your organization as well as a few new friends from the CultureFirst community!
