Feb 5, 7:00 – 8:00 PM (UTC)
Tap into your creative side and laugh at the realities and future of work with us! This event invites aspiring (or wannabe) comedians to share one-minute stand-up sets about workplace culture, HR, and the future of work. It’s a fun, bold exploration of humor and connection at work.
Do you think there’s a little comedian in everyone? We do! Just like everyone can draw, dance, or tell a story, everyone can find humor in the world (of work). Join us for this one-hour virtual session where creativity, comedy, and workplace culture collide.
We live in a world where inclusivity and sensitivity are essential, yet we believe that humor—when shared with respect and kindness—has the power to bring us closer by celebrating our differences rather than dividing us. After all, humor often emerges from tension and difference, offering a unique way to address uncomfortable truths and foster deeper understanding.
Inspired by the live comedy show Kill Tony, this event invites participants to turn workplace gripes, HR quirks, and the future of work into punchlines. Whether you want to share your comedic take on workplace culture or just sit back and enjoy the show, this event is for anyone who believes a better world of work is possible regardless of your title or role.
Here’s what to expect:
🎙️ For Aspiring Comedians: Attendees who want to take the mic will join a pre-event session (30 mins prior) to test their material, refine their delivery, and be chosen by their peers to represent their group in the main event. (invites for the pre-event will be sent out separately). The goal is to have a clear and concise minute to share. Here are some prompts to tee you up for success:🎥 Recording: This session will be recorded and later shared on Culture Amp's YouTube channel. It will also be sent out to those that register whether you attend or not.
👫 Hosts: This session is hosted by Culture First Community Manager, Jessie Jacob, and professional comedian, Sammy Anzer. It is designed to be equal parts hilarious and thought-provoking.
