About this event

This is part 2 in an event series on Resilient Leadership.

During this event, you will be introduced to a tool called TRE® (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises).

TRE® is a self-care, stress management and anxiety reduction tool. It can be described as a series of exercises that releases deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma from our body, which we tend to hold onto. You'll be tapping into an innate shaking mechanism that all mammals can access. TRE® has it's origins in the veteran community, and has spread into the athletic arena. Today, it is widely accepted across wellness communities.

This tool is one way for you to build resiliency in your body; overtime, you'll increase your "window of tolerance" - allowing you to move through the nervous system states faster, without getting "stuck" in one state (fight/flight/freeze/fawn). After one session, you'll feel more calm, relaxed and centered.

Other benefits include:

- Better sleep 😴

- Reduced stress & anxiety 🧘🏻‍♀️

- Reduced bodily tension ⬇️

- Decreased chronic pain 🤕

You'll need:

1.) A yoga mat 🧘🏻‍♀️ (there are only 10 yoga mats available at the studio)

2.) Comfortable clothes you can move in 👣

3.) A water bottle in case you get thirsty 💧

Please arrive a bit before 5:30 so we can start on time.
